Located in the sacred Mount Koya area, Yochi-in is simple minimalistic accommodation in a historic temple, offering meditation and prayer experiences. Vegetarian meals are served in the guestroom. Parking is provided for free.While staying at Yochi-in, guests can try transcribing sutra (Buddhism scriptures) with an advance reservation and extra fee. Guests are welcome to join the Morning Prayer in the main temple, and leave their luggage at the front desk. The spacious public baths feature a hot tub.Most rooms at Yochi-in have the views of Japanese gardens and each room is fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon bedding. A TV, a fan and a heater are provided. Bathroom and toilet are shared with other guests. Guests with a meal plan can receive free amenities.It is a 5-minute walk from the famous Kongobuji Temple. Koyasan cable-car stop is a 10-minute drive away.Guests can enjoy delicately prepared homemade vegetarian meals featuring seasonal dishes.
