Kakenagashi hot springs in all ten rooms
- ♨️Every one of the ten rooms has a 100% Kakenagashi hot spring bath
- 🌈The cloudy water shifts color from day to day and is known as a bijin-no-yu
- 🌌Some room types add an open-air bath for soaking under the stars
3
Four room types for any party
- 🛏️From a 26 sqm Western double with an open-air bath to a roomy 73 sqm maisonette
- 🪵Rooms with wood decks, split-level maisonettes and open-air-bath types
- 🚿Each cottage has its own bathroom, washlet, fridge and amenities
4
Creative kaiseki from local ingredients
- 🥩Kuroge wagyu from Aso and Kumamoto, plus the local Kin'un-ton brand pork
- 🐴Fresh basashi and mountain vegetables, reimagined by the head chef
- 🍚Oguni-grown Akigeshiki rice with the season's best from land and sea
5
Hot food served hot
- 🍽️Hot dishes before they cool, cold dishes still cold, all served in the dining room
- 🥢Plates that change with the season's mountain and sea ingredients
- 🎂Anniversary cakes and other extras available with advance notice
6
In the wild heart of Minamioguni
- ⛰️The peaks of the Kuju range on clear days, a sky full of stars at night
- 💧Meotodaki, the paired waterfalls said to bind couples together, is close by
- 🐕An on-site dog run and nearby walking trails for travel with your dog
7
Comfort and access
- 🅿️Free parking and Wi-Fi, separate men's and women's baths, and a dining room
- 🚗About 60 minutes from Hita IC, about 90 from Kumamoto IC
- ♨️Kurokawa Onsen is close enough for a hot spring circuit
Freestanding cottages in the woods, each with its own Kakenagashi hot spring — a villa-like day in Minamioguni. Bring the dog and take in the quiet and the stars of Aso.
