A house standing since 1876

🏛️Founded in Meiji 9 (1876) and turned into a ryokan in 1891

There is no hot spring here, only time itself: an inn that has stood at the gates of Zenkoji since 1876. Labyrinthine corridors, Meiji-era joinery and a plain Japanese breakfast quietly fill the night before a pilgrimage.
