♨️The inn's own private source flows through the baths as pure Kakenagashi, with no water added and no reheating.
🎨Rich in yunohana mineral flakes, the cloudy water shifts between brown, green and white with the season and temperature.
🌡️The 53C sodium chloride spring holds heat beautifully, so the warmth stays with you long after you step out.

An open-air rock bath facing the Sea of Japan

🪨The outdoor rock bath known as the Namahage no Yu opens straight onto the scenery beyond.
🕗Overnight guests can bathe around the clock, from 3pm check-in until 8:30 the next morning.
🧗Worth noting: about 30 steps lead down to the main bath.

Twelve rooms on the highest ground

🏔️A small 12-room inn set on the highest point of the Oga hot spring village, with sweeping views.
🛏️Choose Namahage-themed wa-modern concept rooms (Matsukaze, Kiho, Momiji) or traditional kominka-style rooms.

Ishiyaki, the taste of Oga

🔥Red-hot Oga tuff stones are dropped into a wooden tub of seafood broth, cooking the dish in an instant.
🐟As you would hope from a seaside inn, the menu leans on fresh fish and shellfish in fisherman's dishes and local traditional preparations.
🥔Anpura mochi, made from potato in the local dialect word anpura, is a folk dish you will find nowhere else.

Kofuan, the dining room around the hearth

🍶Meals are served in Kofuan, a Japanese-style tea room built around a central irori hearth with hilltop views.
🦀A la carte additions include Oga-caught boiled red snow crab, kiritanpo hotpot and seasonal sashimi platters.
🍚Breakfast brings freshly cooked Akitakomachi rice with local ingredients such as gibasa seaweed, hatahata and junsai.
