Utoro Onsen Hotel Kifu Club Shiretoko

A small onsen hotel on the Sea of Okhotsk where every room faces the ocean

Ocean view from every room

All 5 Japanese-style rooms, 8 Western-style rooms and 2 log houses face the sea. From spring to autumn you can watch the sun set into the ocean from your window, and in drift-ice season the sea outside is covered in ice.

Private open-air baths by the sea

Two private open-air baths overlooking the ocean can be booked on a first-come basis when you arrive. The indoor hot spring baths are open overnight from 3pm to 8am.

Do-it-yourself tempura dinner

Dinner features tabletop tempura you fry yourself, using seasonal vegetables and seafood from Shiretoko. Breakfast includes homemade miso and homemade salmon roe.

Whole log cabins

Two log houses on the grounds are rented out one group per cabin. The Western-style cabin has a hammock on the porch, while the Japanese-style cabin comes with a kitchen and no meals.
