A 130-year-old shop house

The inn occupies the former Matsunaga Tobacco Shop, about 130 years old, on Kosa's old shopping street. The 'Shichi' room, once a pawnshop, keeps its original chest of drawers, scales, and the doors and walls of the pawn storehouse.

Just three spacious rooms

There are only three rooms: 'Shichi' (60 m²) and 'Kemuri' (73 m²) in the main house, and 'Tsugu' (55 m²), a newly built detached house. Each is a two-story space with two semi-double beds.

Courtyard garden and Goemon baths

'Kemuri' looks out onto a tsuboniwa courtyard garden from its sitting room and bedroom. 'Kemuri' and 'Tsugu' each have a Goemon-style iron-pot bath.

The whole town as a hotel

Dinner is taken at local restaurants the staff recommend. Breakfast is a Shokado-style Japanese box from local restaurant Kosa-machi Yanaba, with sweet-simmered ayu and seasonal vegetables, served in your room.
