The inn sits inside the Kaga Hashitate Kitamae-bune shipowners' village, a Japan Heritage site and Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings, among old merchant houses with dark wooden fences and red-tiled roofs.
The village's only dog-friendly stay
According to the Kaga tourism association, it is the only lodging in the shipowners' village where you can stay with your dog. Its aim is to be an auberge you share with your dog.
Noto beef course at the bistro
Dinner is served at the attached Bistro Hikobee, with your dog at the table: a course of Ishikawa ingredients such as Noto beef steak and local fish.
Hashitate Kikuzakura cherry tree
A Hashitate Kikuzakura cherry tree grows in the backyard, and it can be seen from the Sakura Room.
