A 155-year-old house, all yours

A former ryotei (traditional restaurant) mansion about 155 years old, renovated and rented to one group at a time: lodging wing, activity wing and garden. Expect wide tatami rooms and an engawa veranda facing the garden.

Irori skewer dinner

On the irori plan, staff grill skewers of local Ginzan wagyu, Daisen chicken and nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) over the hearth in the activity wing. Seating is on chairs, not the floor.

Indoor and open-air baths

One bathroom with a calm indoor bath (two showers) plus an open-air bath.

An analog photo studio

Run by a photography studio, the house is filled with photo art and vintage cameras you are welcome to handle. Paid experiences include large-format portraits and darkroom developing.

Getting there

5 minutes by car from the Adachi Museum of Art; 1-minute walk from the Gogin-mae stop on the Yasugi Yellow Bus Unami line (free parking for about 5 cars)
