Stay inside a museum

Opened in 1992 around the idea of the coexistence of nature, architecture and art, it combines a museum and a hotel. All four lodging buildings (Museum, Oval, Park, Beach) were designed by Tadao Ando.

Different art in every room

Each of the 65 guest rooms displays its own artwork. A QR code in the room opens 'Art Dialog in the Room', a set of prompts for looking at the piece.

Oval: just six rooms

Reached by monorail from the Museum, the Oval sits on a hilltop with only six rooms, and is off-limits to anyone not staying there.

Beach wing by the water

A few steps from the shoreline, it is the building closest to the sea, and every room is a 61 m² suite.

Getting there

Ferry from Takamatsu Port (about 60 min) or Uno Port, Okayama (about 20 min) to Miyanoura Port on Naoshima, then on to the island's south coast
