Since opening in 1964 the hotel has welcomed state guests and members of the Imperial Family; photos of their visits and of Ise Grand Shrine line the connecting corridor. Works of Ise-katagami, a traditional Mie stencil craft, are displayed throughout the building.

Breakfast buffet by the sea

Breakfast at the main dining room Seahorse overlooks Toba Bay, with around 40 Japanese and Western dishes made from local ingredients. A chef's table finishes dishes in front of you, and the Ise lobster bisque is a favorite.

Pearl Spa and a large bath

Pearl Spa offers treatments using pearl-derived products from Mikimoto Pharmaceutical. A large public bath is available at the annex, Shiojitei.
