Opened in 1935 as a Western-style hotel, the building blends traditional Japanese construction with half-timbering in a Swiss chalet style. It was registered as a national Tangible Cultural Property in 2003.

Domed sulfur spring bath

The sulfur hot spring bath features a domed ceiling, stained glass and Art Deco-style tiles, alongside an open-air bath and a private family bath. The source emerges at 93.5°C, so water is added to adjust the temperature.

William Morris rooms

Many rooms are decorated with William Morris wallpaper, and some have claw-foot bathtubs. To protect the listed building there is no elevator, and rooms are mainly on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
