Shimoda Prince Hotel

A beachfront resort facing the Pacific right on Shirahama Beach

Right on the beach

Shirahama Central Beach lies directly in front of the hotel. A dedicated passage leads from the changing rooms straight to the sand, and there are hot-water shower booths.

Ocean-view hot spring

The panoramic hot spring baths look through a 10 m-wide sheet of glass toward the Izu Islands and the sunrise over the sea. The water is a mildly alkaline simple spring.

Rooms for you and your dog

Dog-friendly rooms with outdoor terraces and a dog-friendly suite are available, along with a dog run on the beach path, a shower and drying room, and a poolside café that welcomes dogs.

Kids' play space

The Submarine Kids Adventure room has a bouldering wall and soft play equipment, free for hotel guests and fun even on rainy days.

Getting there

About 10 min by taxi from Izukyu-Shimoda Station, or 15 min by local bus plus a 5-min walk from the Shimoda Prince Hotel stop (free shuttle bus by reservation)

Best for

Families and dog owners who want beach time and hot springs by the sea
