What makes it special

1,500-tsubo Japanese garden
The garden surrounding the building holds a Noh stage, a tea house and a hearth-side lodge. Most rooms overlook it, and it is lit up at night.
Own Yusaka Onsen spring
The large baths use radon-bearing cold mineral water drawn from a well on the grounds, with a Shigaraki ceramic open-air tub, a goemon-buro and a sauna.
Local sake in the garden lobby
At the lobby counter bar facing the garden, overnight guests can enjoy a local sake tasting from 3 pm to 9 pm.
Irori hearth kaiseki
In the Irori Sanso lodge inside the garden, Setouchi seafood and mountain produce are grilled over charcoal at a traditional hearth.
