Opened in 1933 in the former villa of the Yokoyama family, one of the eight senior retainer houses of the Kaga domain. It has kept its one-party-per-space style of hospitality ever since.

Garden above the Sai River

About 3,300 m² of garden spreads down a 40 m river terrace overlooking the Sai River, holding the main building and five sukiya-style detached pavilions.

One room, two guests

Overnight stays are limited to one room and two guests. The Ume-no-ma (Plum Room) is a tatami room with deep red bengara walls typical of Kaga.

Kaga cuisine, dinner & breakfast

The kitchen serves Kaga regional cooking refined with a Kyoto touch. Stays include dinner and breakfast, served at the time you choose.
