Chokai Sarukuraonsen Hotel Foresta Chokai

A hot spring hotel at the foot of Mt. Chokai, with mountain views from every room

Mt. Chokai from every room

All guest rooms face south, so every window looks out over Mt. Chokai and the surrounding countryside. Rooms are Western-style, mostly twins.

Free-flowing Sarukura Onsen

The silky natural hot spring flows straight from the source into the large bath, open-air bath and sauna. Hotel guests can use the large bath 24 hours a day outside cleaning times.

Free private family bath

A private family bath, with a small tub for babies, is free for hotel guests. Reservations are required and can be made after check-in.

Nordic-style restaurant

Dinner and breakfast are served in a Nordic-style restaurant offering Western courses and Japanese-Western kaiseki made with seasonal Akita ingredients. The beech grove outside is lit up at night.
