Three private two-storey 3LDK cottages, built by Finnish craftsmen from logs brought over from Finland, host just three groups a day. Each sleeps 2 to 5 guests.

Stay with your dog

Pets are welcome, and rooms come stocked with a pet pen, pee pads, bowls and other supplies. Guests can use the forest dog run free of charge.

Self-catering kitchens

Every cottage has an IH stove, microwave, rice cooker, tableware and an outdoor BBQ grill, making longer stays easy. BBQ or hot-pot sets and a breakfast box can be booked in advance to enjoy in your cottage.

Wood-fired forest sauna

In the cottage garden stands Yama no Sauna, an outdoor wood-fired sauna built with Finnish timber. It is for private use and must be booked at least 10 days before your stay.

From JR Chino Station, bus to Higashi-Shirakabako, then transfer to Tateshina Bokujo (about 1 hour); or about 40 minutes by rental car from Sakudaira Station
