Dome tents with decks

Two large dome tents each have four beds, a bathroom with tub, a washlet toilet and a separate washbasin. Each wooden deck has a private covered BBQ area, a fire pit and a hammock (free to borrow).

150-year-old kominka

A farmhouse over 150 years old, renovated and rented as a whole for up to 8 guests, with an earthen-floor kitchen, tatami room, bathroom with tub and covered BBQ area.

Saga beef charcoal BBQ

Saga beef selected by Honten Yakiniku Ryoma, a Saga City beef specialist for over 30 years, grilled over charcoal. Breakfast is a DIY meal of clay-pot rice and skillet-fried eggs.

Tent sauna, spring-water plunge

A wood-fired tent sauna with löyly, followed by a dip in a natural cold bath of clear groundwater. By reservation, 2,500 yen per session (tax and firewood included).

Getting there

In the forest above Michi-no-Eki Yamato Soyokaze-kan, Umeno, Yamato-cho, Saga City; best reached by car. Furuyu and Kumanokawa onsen are about 30 minutes' drive.
