The Night Bookstore

From 9 pm to 5 am, the bookstore on the 1st and 2nd floors becomes a guests-only space. You can wander the shelves with a lantern in hand and pick out a book.

20,000-Book Store & Café

The 1st and 2nd floors hold a general bookstore stocking about 20,000 titles, plus a café. A roughly 5 m Formosan ash tree stands at its center.

Rooms Lined with Books

Every room is stocked with books chosen by a book director. The four 'Shoya' concept rooms each hold about 1,000 books on a theme: food, travel, animals or manga.

Local Shimonoseki Cuisine

The 3rd-floor restaurant uses vegetables from local contract farms and Shimonoseki seafood. Breakfast, for guests only, is a one-plate-plus-buffet or full buffet.
