The hotel sits above a lava coastline said to have formed when Mt. Onidake, the island's symbol, erupted. Rooms and the lobby look out to sunrise over the East China Sea, while the terrace side faces sunset toward Onidake.

Interiors by Yukio Hashimoto

Designer Yukio Hashimoto created the interiors. The lobby opens onto the sea through 6-meter-high glass and is anchored by a large table cut from a single slab of French oak finished with resin.
