1891 Main Building & 1906 Western Wing

Rooms are spread across the Main Building (1891) and the Western-style Building (1906). The Western-style Building is the best preserved of the hotel's original structures, with high ceilings and classic furniture in its rooms.

Hanagoten, the Flower Palace

Built in 1936, Hanagoten features ornate Japanese-style details and balconies with red railings, and each room is named after a flower. Its Heritage Rooms have carvings on the ceilings and transoms.

Hot spring water in every bath

With four hot spring sources on site, the bathrooms of all 120 rooms are supplied with Miyanoshita onsen water. The spa on the 6th floor of the Forest Wing looks out over Hakone's outer caldera rim.

Kikkaso, a former imperial villa

Built in 1895 as the imperial family's Miyanoshita villa, this traditional Japanese building now serves seasonal Japanese cuisine. Its garden changes with each season.
