A late-Edo rice storehouse, thought to be the oldest building of the Japan Folk Toy Museum complex, renovated into a private rental for one group. It offers 80㎡ plus a 10㎡ terrace for up to four guests.

Where the toy museum began

This storehouse was the museum's first exhibition room when the Japan Folk Toy Museum opened in 1967. Folk toys from around Japan are displayed inside.

Windows onto the river

Furniture by craft artists

The sofa, chest, chairs and other furniture are works by Japanese craft makers. The operator, Toutou, also runs a craft gallery and a folk-craft shop in the Bikan Historical Quarter.
