Private whole-house cottages

Seven cottages stand on a hill across the road from the Ryokusuien main house, each a self-contained home with kitchen, living room and bedroom. The elevated site overlooks the lake and surrounding nature, and with few houses nearby the night sky is full of stars.

Skylights in the renovated units

Units 1, 2, 4 and 6, renovated by 2023, feature interiors of Tottori-grown timber panels, skylights for stargazing from indoors and hanging chairs on the veranda.

BBQ in your own garden

Each cottage has a private garden with a fire stand and grill for barbecues. Book ahead and ingredient sets are prepared, so you can arrive empty-handed.

Main-house public bath

The rate includes entry to the large gender-separated public bath on the ground floor of the main house.

About 25 minutes by car from JR Yonago Station (Nanbu Town, Saihaku District, Tottori; nearest interchange: Yonago-nishi IC)
