Hearts Capsule Hotel & Spa Hakata

A capsule hotel with an artificial hot-spring bath, steps from Hakata Station

Hot-spring-style large bath

The in-house artificial hot spring, Hakata Kokoro Onsen Shin, has a large communal bath to soak away travel fatigue. The sauna is in the men's area only.

Fully separate men's and women's areas

The 84 capsules (62 for men, 22 for women) are split into completely separate men's and women's areas. Rental towels are Imabari towels and the bath set is by POLA.

Café with Shinkansen views

The 2F café restaurant & bar has window seats looking out over Shinkansen and other trains, serving everything from breakfast to Hakata specialties like mentaiko rice bowls and evening drinks.

Inside a bus terminal

The hotel sits in the HEARTS Bus Station Hakata building: check in at the 1F information center, then take the escalator up to the hotel on 2F. Bus ticket machines and lockers on 1F make it handy for highway-bus travelers.

Getting there

About 3 min walk from Hakata Station (5 min from Exit West 16 of Hakata subway station)

Best for

Solo travelers wanting a budget stay with a large bath, and highway-bus passengers
