HIGHLIGHTS

What makes it special

A central Takamatsu hotel with a top-floor natural hot spring bath

Tamamo-no-Yu on the 11th floor

Separate men's and women's baths sit on the top (11th) floor, with indoor and open-air tubs filled with natural hot spring water transported from Kita-cho in Takamatsu. The open-air bath looks out over the night sky and city.

Aji-stone baths and Takamatsu umbrellas

The stonework of the indoor and open-air baths uses Aji stone, a prized granite from Kagawa, and the open-air bath is decorated with Takamatsu wagasa, the prefecture's traditional paper umbrellas.

Getting there: About 5 min walk from Kotoden Kawaramachi Station; 1 min from the Kencho-dori Chuo-koen-mae airport limousine bus stop
Best for: Travelers who want a city-center base reachable by airport bus, with a hot spring bath to end the day
