What makes it special
A JR Kyushu hotel built right on top of Kokura Station
Direct link to JR Kokura Station
The hotel sits in the Kokura Station building, so you walk straight from the platforms to the hotel. Hakata is about 17 minutes away by Shinkansen, making it an easy base for Mojiko, Kokura Castle and travel around Kyushu.
Train views and railway concept rooms
Rooms on the track side look down on Shinkansen and local trains. On the 15th floor, two railway concept rooms feature furniture made from JR Kyushu 811-series train seats and a real destination roll sign.
De La Gare lounge
A lounge beside the 7th-floor front desk reserved for guests of the top-floor Superior rooms, Excellent Corner Twins and suites. It serves drinks including the hotel's original coffee and has its own outdoor garden.
Kyushu breakfast buffet
The buffet features dishes from across Kyushu, such as Kokura's local jinda-ni, mentaiko and Nakatsu-style karaage, plus omelets cooked to order by a chef.
- Getting there
- Directly connected to JR Kokura Station; about 40 minutes from Kitakyushu Airport by nonstop airport bus (get off at the Shinkansen exit, about 1 minute on foot)
- Best for
- Families with train-loving kids, and travelers exploring Kitakyushu and Kyushu by rail from a Kokura base
