A couple-run home stay

A married couple renovated an ordinary house themselves and opened it in 2017, ahead of the 2019 Rugby World Cup. Guests share the living room, dining area and kitchen, much like staying in a family home.

Rooms named after Oita's peaks

There are four rooms: the mixed dormitory Sobo and the private rooms Kuju, Yufu and Tsurumi. Kuju is a tatami room with a queen bed, while Yufu and Tsurumi are futon-style tatami rooms for up to three people.

Free bikes and a shared kitchen

Bicycles for cycling and the washing machine are free to use, and the shared kitchen comes stocked with basic seasonings. The Saganoseki cycling course runs straight from the guesthouse.

Base for games and hot springs

A stadium and a budo center are close by for sports fans, and Beppu and Yufuin are within day-trip reach. There is a shower room but no bath, so the owners point guests to a natural hot spring four minutes away by car.
