A tiny forest hotel among tea fields that hosts just two groups a night

Two rooms, two groups a day

There are only two rooms: Komorebi, a 66㎡ maisonette with a spiral staircase, and Hoshiyama, a 50㎡ Japanese-Western room. Each sleeps two to six, suiting families and small groups.

Hinoki bath in every room

Each bathroom is lined with cypress on the walls and ceiling and filled with mountain water drawn from the source of the Aizawa River. Guests run their own bath, so it can be refilled fresh anytime.

Run by 15th-generation tea farmers

The hotel is run by a family that has farmed tea for 15 generations in Ashikubo, a long-established tea-growing area. Tea fields spread outside the windows, and guests are served the family's own green tea.

Creative Shizuoka cuisine

Seasonal creative courses based on Japanese cuisine use Shizuoka produce from the mountains and sea. Meals are served in the ground-floor dining room overlooking the greenery.

About 40 minutes by car from JR Shizuoka Station, or 15 minutes from Shin-Shizuoka IC on the Shin-Tomei Expressway
