Riverside open-air baths

Mildly alkaline simple hot spring water from the inn's own source fills open-air baths overlooking the Hayakawa River. Both the men's and women's baths have an open-air and an indoor bath.

Special rooms with private baths

Three riverside special rooms (Takeyamai, Wasabi and Kangetsu) have their own open-air baths fed by the inn's spring. Kangetsu features a moon-shaped window and a Shigaraki-ware tub.

Free private 'Baron's Bath'

A family bath with a tub and walls made entirely of cypress. Staying guests can reserve it on arrival and use it free for 40 minutes per group.

Former Baron Okura villa

The inn sits on the roughly 13,000 m² grounds of industrialist Baron Kihachiro Okura's former villa. The entrance is carved into the great rock Shorizan, and the grounds include a suspension bridge and a bamboo-grove path.
