All 18 rooms have a cypress (hinoki) tub fed with free-flowing spring water, plus a private terrace. Floors throughout use Kagoshima-grown hinoki.

The water blends three sources into a mildly alkaline (pH 7.83) bicarbonate spring. The main bath has hot and cooler pools and a sauna, and the large open-air bath has Shigaraki-ware tubs facing the Kamo hills.

Salt- and sugar-free kaiseki

Dinner is a choice of Japanese-Western kaiseki, a natural-food kaiseki cooked without added salt or sugar, or a Kagoshima black pork tonkatsu kaiseki. Breakfast is a Japanese set meal.
