Rooms in a soy sauce storehouse

The storehouse was built in 1889 (Meiji 22) and served as the soy sauce store of the Gamou Soy Sauce Brewery until before the war. The rooms, Ayaori and Byakkan, are named after soy sauces once made here.

Two two-story rooms

There are only two rooms, Ayaori to the north (54.9㎡) and Byakkan to the south (57.06㎡), both on two floors and sleeping 1-6 guests. The wood-panelled Ayaori has a revolving 'ninja door'.

Village headman's estate and garden

The property is a former village headman's residence with an Edo-period main house. The spacious back garden is a shared space, and guests can barbecue in the garden.

Between pilgrimage temples and udon

It sits midway between Shikoku pilgrimage temples No. 79 and No. 81, with Sanuki udon shops within walking distance (Gamou Udon about 200m away).

Kamo-cho, Sakaide, Kagawa. About 20 minutes by JR from Takamatsu Station to Kamogawa Station, then 4 minutes by car (about 1km). About 30 minutes by car from Takamatsu Airport

메이지 시대에 지은 곳간을 고친 객실이다. 전쟁 전까지 '가모 간장 양조장'의 간장 곳간으로 쓰였다. 객실 이름 [아야오리]는 이곳에서 만들던 간장의 이름이다. 1층 객실은 편히 쉬는 공간으로, 2층은 침실로 쓸 수 있다. 들보와 기둥은 당시의 목재를 그대로 썼고, 나무에 남은 흠에서 건물이 지나온 역사를 느낄 수 있다. 입구에는 회전식 닌자 문이 있다.
