Modern Kyo-machiya architecture

Designed with architect Takashi Yamaguchi, the building revives Kyoto's traditional 'unagi no nedoko' layout, narrow at the front and deep inside. Guests enter through a 38-meter passageway staged with lighting and sound.

Rooms facing a wall garden

A gardenia wall garden rises through the 6th to 8th floors, and the MOGANA Black, White and Garden rooms look out onto it as it changes with the seasons. These rooms are 50㎡ with 220cm-wide beds.

Awajishima breakfast

The 'Fukiyose' breakfast is made with ingredients grown on Awajishima and served on Awaji ware and Rakutogama tableware from the island. Yakuzen-inspired room service is also available.

Meditation room

At the very end of the 38m corridor is a meditation room finished in white with grid panel lighting. It is also used for events such as yoga and beauty seminars.
