Property Description A hidden retreat tucked away in Okukurokawa. Front desk is in the main building of this traditional old house which was relocated from Niigata. All of our 11 guest rooms sit comfortably along the banks of a quiet stream. All guest rooms feature half open-air glass-walled bath, shower and wooden deck from which to feel the changing seasons. From our open type kitchen we provide delicious meals cooked with locally grown fresh vegetables, rice from contract farmers and Kyushu's very best produce such as seafood and mountain ingredients. We are particularly proud of our delicious rice and our miso soup cooked with fresh water. Dining is not private but our dining room is filled with the warm light from the kitchen. Our top-notch chef offers excellent hospitality. Okukurokawa is blessed by clean air and a tranquil atmosphere. We pay particular attention to bedclothes, pillows and lighting to ensure that our guests have a comfortable stay. Please relax body and soul and have a thoroughly enjoyable stay. Rooms are non-smoking: if you would like to smoke, please smoke on your guest room's wooden deck or at the bar. We can only accommodate 2 guests per room, but if reserving 2 guest rooms we can prepare meals for groups of up to 4 guests.
